I know there's code in 'C' for PMP, but haven't seen any for the baycom.

I need to replace a car and want one which 100 watts or so of HF and 50 watts
or so of 2 meters or 440 will not interfere with the electronics af the
vehicle. Nor do I want ignition or other noise beyond the bare minimum.
In consideration are four door sedans from the size of a Corolla up to that
of a Taurus. or perhaps a minivan or small pickup. Replacing a Ford
Aerostar.
Will listen to all viewpoints. Tnx a million. Bob

Hello from BJ Arts WT0N. I just had a conversation with one of
the reps. from Kantronics. Here is some more information about
there new digital mode G-TOR.
1. It will support PBBS operations just like AMTOR and PACTOR.
2. The rep from Kantronics feels that some of the older PC's
like 8088's and maybe some 286's might have some problems
running G-TOR. The rep stated that this mode is very computer
intensive, or to say it will use your PC a lot to run this new
digital mode.
If I hear anymore I'll let you know. I will also be trying this
mode out on the AMSAT PBBS on 30 meters soon. The frequency is
10.127 afsk and the mark is 10.124.9 LSB.
If you have nay other information about G-TOR please let me know
at the following addresses:

internet: BJARTS@STTHOMAS.EDU
pactor: WT0N@WT0N on 10.127 LBS AMSAT PBBS

I first posted this on rec.radio.amateur.misc
I'm trying to compile an e-mail list for
those who wan't Hamblaster Updates. I'll
include your address in the list and auto-
matically send updates.
So if you want to be on the list e-mail your reply.

I suggest you put Jeff Herman on the list. That way he can take his
complaining about te Hamblaster off the news group and into e-mail.

This could be done with some existing code as there is a facility already in
some muds to limit which IP addresses can log on. So you just make sure that
44.XX.XX.XX only can log on.

This too has been done in some muds, you just scan for a certain list of
words. But all it would require is for someone to notice what they were
saying anyway. After all the link to the server still has their ID.

This is a problem I have, the speed of it all, as well as the potiental
bandwidth used. Forget about 1200bd! I've got 9600 and 4800 here.

I have a MUD sometimes running on packet. As it uses IP connections it is an
unmodified lpMud parser running on Linux. ax.25 connections can be made by
first connecting to the NOS box. I configured the NOS system so that with a
single command you can connect to it. It still needs a lot of work and some
more people. But we had major network problems at the moment.

To: ham-digital@ucsd.edu
I just bought a bare bones Tandy 102 and wonder what extra
accessories I need to transmit and receive email and post
to a packet bbs?
I realize I need a license to transmit, but perhaps while
I am studying, I could listen or capture packets to understand
it better.
thanks for any info.
Also is anyone getting in trouble with the gov these days
for passing third party messages, as amateurs, in either
the US or Canada? I just read here that it is ok in the UK.
cheers

Not everyone has a clone machine. If it's a design which runs at 10MBps,
then it would be a natural to hook up to ethernet. The best way to go
would be to use thin-wire ethernet. Has anyone investigated this
possibility?
I'd like to try the 10BASET transceivers -- they have RX & TX pairs that
would map naturally to the design. But does it really have enough
bandwidth for 10Mbps?

Maybe Glenn will jump in here, but if I'm quoting him correctly, it
should run at 10 Mbit/s if you use the M/A-COM Gunnplexers, but won't
if you use the cheap surplus security-system units.
